TAMBOV - IVANOVKA MANOR OF S.V. RAKHMANINOV

On the first day, after the arrival in Tambov we go to the estate Karian Zagryazhskikh-Stroganov, it was here in 1812 that N.N. Goncharov, the future wife of Alexander Pushkin was born. We will visit an interesting museum, walk through the halls of the estate. Next we will visit the estate of Old Olshanka Voyeikov. V.D. Polenov painted the estate himself. A magnificent temple of Christ the Saviour has been preserved in the manor. The second half of the day we will dedicate to the Ivanovka estate-museum of Sergey Vasilyevich Rakhmaninov. Right here the famous composer worked on symphonic plays such as «Cliff», «Island of the Dead», operas «Monna Bath», «Miserly knight». The second day we will dedicate to Tambov - the provincial city founded in 17th century as an outpost on Moscow borderline. We will walk on the riverbank of Tsna river, take a look around Preobrazhensky Cathedral (17-19 cc.), Shopping arcade (1830s), monuments of Tambov Governor G.R. Derzhavina, Kazan Monastery, Church of the Intercession (18th century), Aseev’s mansion (early 20th century), Polish church (19th century), Ascension Monastery.

8.30-11.00. Departure for the Karian estate (Znamenka settlement). Manor Tour
11.00 Departure to the estate of Old Olshanka.
14.00-14.30. Dinner
15.00-18.00 Excursion around the Ivanovka museum-estate of S.V.
Rakhmaninov. Departure to Tambov.
20.00 Dinner. Hotel accommodation.
